Custom Designed
Armoring Kits
Golan Group can design and manufacture custom
armoring kits for SUVs and several sedans. These
kits are specifically designed to provide maximum
interior passenger protection using the U.S.
National Institute of Justice (NIJ) standard
0108.01, type IV ammunition including 166 grain
M2 armor piecing rounds, providing excellent ballistic
protection against ammunitions with velocity exceeding
3200 ft/sec.
The opaque armor materials used in the development
of these kits will have a smooth surface and trim
molding to avoid user injury and allowing for
effective inspection of armor materials for cracks
and other damage.
Transparent armor is made of glass-plastic (polycarbonate),
laminated construction and has a material with
the capability of meeting or exceeding the ballistic
protection specified above. The transparent armor
is made of one-piece construction with an anti-Spalding
inner layer.
The kits are engineered for a rapid setup and
installation with minimal installation equipment/tools
and welding, where possible kit components have
been pre-drilled and marked at weld point if necessary.

- One (1) Ballistic transparent
armored glass replacement windshield.
- Eight (8) pre-installed 15"
X 6" ballistic transparent
armored glass inserts.
- Five (5) pre-cut customized overlap
ballistic quality steel inserts,
one for each of the front and rear
passenger's doors and one for the
rear cargo area clamshell doors.(require
welding for proper installation
- Four (4) custom fabricated ballistic
quality steel interior doors, each
with re-enforced heavy-duty hinges,
interior locking latch and handle,
a 15"X 6"ballistic quality
transparent armored glass viewing
area, hinged ballistic protected
emergency firing port and sliding
armored access panel for the outside
door/window handle and power accessories
control panel.
- Two (2) custom fabricated ballistic
quality steel insert panel kits
for the rear cargo area side panels.
Each kit consists of four (4) separate
custom fabricated ballistic steel
panels, one covering the tire wheel
area, one two piece panel covering
the under glass cargo side wall
area and one ballistic panel covering
the rear side glass. This rear side
glass panel has a preinstalled 15'
X 6" ballistic quality transparent
armored glass viewing area with
one hinged ballistic protected emergency
firing port.
- Two (2) custom fabricated ballistic
quality steel interior doors, each
with re-enforced heavy-duty hinges,
interior locking latch and handle,
a 15" X 6" ballistic quality
transparent armored glass viewing
area, hinged ballistic protected
emergency firing port and sliding
armored access panel for the outside
door handle located on the primary
egress door.
- One (1) custom fabricated one
piece flexible ballistic carpet
material consisting of an armoring
fiber of ballistic nylon and Kevlar
formed with a minimum of twelve
(12) layers. Minimum protection
level is engineered to withstand
blasts underneath the vehicle (hard
or soft surface) from two hand grenades
and/or similar blasts.
