Position:
WEBMASTER / GRAPHICS DESIGNER / MULTIMEDIA DEVELOPER
General Statement of Duties:
We are looking for a multi-talented and dynamic
individual with an array of web development, graphics
design, multimedia and programming skills. This
is a part-time position with a strong possibility
of developing into a full-time position. Successful
candidate will develop web-based applications,
rich-media, and browser-driven multimedia in Flash
and Shockwave connected to back-end technology
based on Java/JSP, JSP, SQL database, and ASP.
This individual must be a solid and reliable performer
with impeccable work ethics, professional attitude
and appearance.
Principle Activities/Responsibilities:
- Web Development
Integrate front-end user interfaces linked to
back-end web applications/databases.
Integrate front-end DHTML/Javascript, ActionScript,
with server-side Java and XML.
Maintain & update current company websites.
Work with sales & marketing team to promote
new products and services online.
Incorporate multimedia into company websites
to effectively promote products and services.
Incorporate websites with database.
- Graphics Design
Design flyers and brochures for print in cooperation
with the marketing team.
Design newsletters for email campaigns.
Design posters and banners for tradeshows and
showrooms.
Create 3D graphics.
- Multimedia Programming
Participate in the development of interactive
multimedia presentations for trade shows, websites,
and CD-ROMS.
Create highly scalable, production applications
built considering human interface design.
Incorporate 3D graphics into Flash presentations
showcasing an array of products and their practical
use.
Create and edit videos of products for online
and presentations use.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Requires project experience in Web applications
programming. Experience with human-engineered
interface design, Javascript, server-side Java,
JSP, web application servers (such as Apache/Tomcat),
DHTML, SQL, W2K/Linux familiarity is a must.
- At least 2 years experience in each of the
fields listed above.
- A.A. Degree or higher.
- Proficiency using (most) Macromedia products
- Director, Flash, Dreamweaver, etc., Adobe
Photoshop, Illustrator and other graphics editing
software.
- Experience in creating and editing video
- Working knowledge of HTML, DHTML, Javascript,
ASP, Actionscript, and other web-based programs.
- Ability to incorporate websites with database.
- Apple Quicktime/Applescript and multimedia
or streaming media content delivery are a definite
plus.
- Ability to create Flash movies, presentations,
and interfaces from concept.
- Project leadership abilities, project management
experience, Quality Assurance and ATTENTION
TO DETAIL are a MUST.
Advanced programming and knowledge of networks
is a PLUS.
